people may call me movie addict...well, i was before. hopefully, this addiction won't come back - HOPEFULLY...especially now that I have a lot of time to do so. i remember a friend of mine advised me to watch as many movies as i can now because i may not be able to do it that often when i finally give birth...is that a lose? i don't think so...i have a baby to take care of ...i'm gonna be a mother! that's incomparable to watching movies every week...
we finally saw SPY KIDS 3D - no big deal again -good gimmick, though, because aside from the cinema fee, you have the option to buy the 3D glasses (or plastic) to, according to the saleslady, make a big difference. to my hubby, etoy, am not sure about reah and tonette - if they were watching at all or were snoozing- the glasses made a difference. i was more comfortable to having none - there goes my P10! i was just fascinated watching etoy enjoy the movie- that for me was the most exciting.
let's see, tomorrow is monday, Sept 1, then 2, then 3...Oh no! Elle Woods! Legally Blonde 2...It does ring a bell...I AM NOT A MOVIE ADDICT, OKAY!?!?!
GREAT FINDS...
i have 3 great finds in the bookstore last thursday...i got all of them with a 50% discount!!!

originally, these 3 would cost, P 1,500 but i got them half the price!

friday came and as planned, my sis, my hubby and i watched a movie - VIEW from the TOP starring Gwyneth Paltrow. it's one of those films that after seeing, you can opt to forget. the message it was trying to get through is potentially deep but the director was not motivated enough to bring out that potential. the story is common - it happens in real life events which i think is a good point of the movie. one reason why people want to watch movies is that they're seeking for something which they can relate to. this is definitely one movie some viewers can find themselves in.
you have a childhood dream that people around you never believed that you can reach. these demotivations propelled you to work hard and achieve to be at the top. it was a bumpy road ahead but you managed to breeze through it because you met people who turned out to be a significant part of what you will become in the future. the time came when you are already there at the top and you realized it's empty there without the special people you met while you were waiting. you have finally decided that it's useless to be up there if you don't have the people that make you happy...
i had a quick thought about the movie - career can never be your world. it's just a tool, an avenue that can help you express your talents...you cannot move around it, it has to move around you. career should not contol you, you should pilot it instead. over-committing yourself into it will eventually make you tired and worn-out. maybe after a few years, you'll have what it takes to be branded as "successfull." but at the end of the day, you'll just find yourself asking - what are all these for?

to be continued...

his name is JOSHUA "etoy" HURGO
he's my youngest cousin and we just all love him. he practically grew up with us. i helped his mom in taking care of him. i think being with him in his first year can serve as my preparation in having my own baby. i fed him, changed his diapers, put him to sleep, bathed him. he is such an adorabale boy - very sweet. i just love hearing him say, "i love you."
we are supposed to watch spy kids tomorrow but he's sick - the flu phenomenon these days. hopefully he'll get better soon. he kept on bugging me over the phone last night to remind me of SPY KIDS 3d. i'm getting excited myself but i just found out he can't go...too bad... anyway, there's always view from the top
how sweet of them...here's one of the reasons why i love my work - teaching
ms.*****,
we have something for you and your baby boy. this is a simple token of appreciation. we will not forget what we learned from you. we are grateful that our paths crossed, even for just 3 short months. we'll miss you, take care! God bless and good luck on your first baby! (more babies to come
)
love, c33
this message came with a baby comforter and feeding bottles...i really appreciate them for remembering - more than the gift but the thought that goes with it.

book lovers out there, check this out
my sister is in! i guess i'm a good advertiser ![]()
motime is really a great find. you can do so many things - the indispensible text entry plus more!
i'm really getting heavier (read : pregnant) especially now that i've started my vacation from work. but i'm not totally jobless (God is good!) i still have another round of esl consultancy. God knows our needs and our desires - this reality is just so amazing. written communication should capture an idea through verbal descriptions. but God's existence cannot just be described vividly... i sometimes find myself staring blank because i just can't contain the experience.
oct. 23 is approaching really fast!!! i will soon have a visit with a stork. after being married for more than 2 years, we'll finally see the first fruit of our union. we'll call him (yes! it's a boy!)NATHANAEL which means God's gift. we are thinking of a second name which starts with letter A, but as a mother, i have decided to just have 1 name to capture my son's existence. his nickname by the way is NAV.
my husband's condition has improved tremendously...i was trying to tempt him to go malling this afternoon because i'm bored and sleepy at home. i felt that he wanted to but he would be guilty to do so. he 's absent from the office to rest and then he would go malling? how'd you call that? anyway, can't wait for friday. have a date with my sister (husband, wanna join? and the infamous Josh of our lives - our youngest cousin also called ETOY...i just love him.
to all you teachers out there, i want to share with you a prayer that God has placed in my heart. words just came in as the chairperson of our school's english department asked me to lead in prayer during our term ender departmental meeting.

Heavenly Father, we worship you on this glorious day. Thank you for giving us one spirit as we gather today.
We seek for your unifying presence to lead us in accomplishing the task that we have to undertake each day of our lives.
We give thanks to you for the gift of wisdom that you generously give to each one.
We give our gratitude for the gift of love that compels us to fulfill our calling as educators.
We thank you for the people that surround us, those who encourage us, support and even those who challenge us.
We ask for your guidance to be the foundation of our institution. It is our prayer that every decision our leaders make will be an outcome of their sensitivity to your direction.
May we objectively evaluate what needs to be improved, not for anything else but only to persevere in pursuing the quest for excellence in the endeavor that you purposed for us to live.
Continuously remind us of the gravity of our responsibility as teachers. We are not here to show off our laurels but we exist to help our students in achieving their full potential as human beings through our passionate teaching and compassionate leading.
Help us to realize that every interaction with our students is an opportunity to create impact in their lives and that we may seize every encounter to bring a mark of eternal value.
Finally, we pray that we may take this task of imparting our lives as our way of worship to you. Amen.

marriage is indeed a bond that makes 2 people one. after being married for more than 2 years, i still am amazed in how i get affected when something unpleasant is going on with my husband. he's been sick for more than 3 days already and even if i don't exactly feel what he's feeling, i sense a restlessness in me that makes me want to shoulder whatever it is that he's experiencing. whenever he coughs really hard, i want to just shut off my ears so i can be oblivious of what's going on. i just can't bear the hard coughs. i can imagine how his respiratory system suffers everytime he does that. everytime i check he has fever and realize he's warm, i try to compose myself but deep inside me i'm crying and asking God to let me have it instead of him. i know it's just the usual flu, a lot have one lately, but it's really different when the person you love suffers because of it.
Which book of the Bible are you?
I did this very short quiz and here's the result. Bloggers out there, you may want to try it.

i finally gave in. my husband has been telling me about blogging..not on this site though. it took me a while to finally try it. i have my reasons why it took me so long to finally try my hands on this - number 1, i'm no computer expert and number 2, i don't have the patience to religously (or regularly) write and publish my thoughts online. honestly, i still find the conventional and printed "dear diary" a more relieving and soothing way of unloading thoughts.
well i guess i have to cope up with the changing times. the "dear diary" method will always be there and i have mastered it anyway. why not try something more updated. i just hope i can cope.
by the way, my sister is also into blogging. it may be a good idea to get a glimpse of it.
